RSBC participated in EEF-2023

Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSBC) took part in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) held on Russky Island in Vladivostok. This year's main theme was "Towards Cooperation, Peace and Prosperity".

On September 11, Nikolay Volobuev, Chairman of the RSBC, participated in the business dialogue "Russia-ASEAN", where topical issues of development of trade and investment cooperation between Russia and ASEAN countries were discussed.

During his speech "E-Commerce and New Trends in Digital Trade in Asia-Pacific Markets" Mr. Volobuev spoke about the role of RSBC in the exchange of experience and technologies, development of e-commerce both in Russia and in the Asia-Pacific Region (APR).

"In 2022, RSBC has significantly expanded its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Taking into account the current economic situation, a decentralized network of trading houses, engineering, production, logistics and settlement centers is being formed on the basis of RSBC," said Mr. Volobuev.

Mr. Volobuev mentioned the project of creating an international industrial information and service electronic B2B- platform implemented by the RSBC. The platform is used to form exchanges of logistics capacities, integrate with regional financial and insurance services, and develop new ways of international settlements between Russian and regional business communities. Today, more than 90,000 manufacturing companies from 28 countries and over 600 service providers, including the full range of FEA services, are registered on the B2B-platform RSTrade, with new companies joining every day.

On September 12, a cooperation agreement was signed between Russia-Singapore Business Council and Russian-Chinese Commerce Guild (RCCG). The agreement is aimed at developing Russia's trade relations with Asia-Pacific countries. The key vectors of cooperation will be the development of the RSTrade digital platform, engineering and technological cooperation, humanitarian cooperation in the field of culture and education.

After signing the agreement, the parties held a business meeting to discuss issues of joint work and cooperation. The participants of the meeting noted the priority importance of trade, economic and investment cooperation and confirmed their intention to make joint efforts to steadily increase the volume and expand the range of mutual trade, develop industrial cooperation, support entrepreneurs of both countries in their business activities, implement joint projects in industry, agriculture and other sectors of the economy.

Eastern Economic Forum has once again demonstrated its effectiveness and demand among business communities and experts from Russia and Asia-Pacific countries.
