III Russian Film Week in Singapore starts on December 15


On New Year's Eve, Singaporeans will be able to watch Russian films. On December 15, the opening ceremony of the III Russian Film Week will be held at The Cathay Cineplex. Films will also be presented at the Center for Overseas Promotion of Russian High-Tech Companies and the Presentation of investment projects in Singapore of the Russia-Singapore Business Council as a part of the “National Unity Day” celebrations.
Festival organizers: Russia-Singapore Business Council and Within the Family Nationwide program with the assistance of State Corporation Rostec.
The I Russian Film Week in Singapore gathered about 4 thousand people.
“Considering the success of the I Russian Film Week in Singapore, Intergovernmental Russia-Singapore high-level commission decided to organize this event annually. Our experience confirms the growing interest in Russian culture in the region. Through cultural contacts we are building trust in each other in business”, - noted Chairman of the Russia-Singapore Business Council - Deputy CEO of Rostec Nikolay Volobuev.
In 2020, the II Russian Film Week was successfully held in Singapore (about 1 million viewers), causing great interest among the local population. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held in a mixed format in the form of a teleconference: Singapore – Moscow.
The program of the III Russian Film Week will include following works: Son of a rich (2019, film director - Klim Shipenko), My Little Sister (2019, film director - Alexander Galibin), A Dog Named Palma (2020, film director - Aleksandr Domogarov Jr.), Girls Got Game (2021, film director - Maksim Sveshnikov), The Last Warrior: Root of Evil (2021, film director - Konstantin Maksimov). Soulful and entertaining pictures will not only provide positive emotions and laughter, but also remind you of the importance of family and friendship.
