Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSBC) annually takes part in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). This year the EEF will be held from September 10 to 13.

In a world of rapid technological change and global integration, digital commerce is becoming increasingly important for developing economies, expanding markets and enriching consumer experiences. As one of the most dynamic and diverse regions in the world, Asia-Pacific region plays a key role in defining new e-commerce trends and paradigms.

Within the framework of cooperation between Russia and countries of Asia-Pacific Region, e-commerce is of particular importance. However, on the way to successful cooperation in this area, it is necessary to pay attention to a number of important aspects. These include developing joint data security standards, creating conditions for equitable access to digital resources, and resolving legal and regulatory issues.

In this context, the RSBC's infrastructure acts as an important element for the exchange of experience and technologies, contributing to the development of e-commerce both in Russia and in the Asia-Pacific region.

In 2023, in the face of serious changes in the economic situation, RSBC significantly expanded its presence in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. To further develop mutually beneficial cooperation with ASEAN countries, RSBC actively forms and applies export-import information and service B2B-platform RSTrade, a decentralized network of trading houses, engineering and production centers and logistics hubs in Russia, China, Malaysia, India and the Middle East; new settlement mechanisms, trade insurance support system; and new approaches to resolving commercial disputes abroad.

On the sidelines of the EEF RSBC also planned to sign cooperation agreements that will promote multi-sectoral economic cooperation between Russian companies and APR countries.
