On September 27, 2023, Mr. Sergey Pronin, Deputy Chairman – Executive Director of the Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSBC), took part in a meeting with Mr. Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Mark Neo Ek Beng, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Russia.
The agenda included the development of business cooperation between Russia and Singapore.
Mr. Sergey Katyrin, President of the CCI RF, noted the need to develop trade relations between Russia and Singapore and proposed to actively utilize the resources of the CCI RF in the Russian regions. Mr. Sergey Katyrin also emphasized the need to restore direct air service between Russia and Singapore, which could open the possibility for Russians to travel to Southeast Asia.
Singapore's Ambassador to Russia Mr. Mark Neo Ek Beng expressed his intention to promote business cooperation and trade between two countries.
The leaders of the CCI RF and the Singaporean side highly appreciated the role and effectiveness of the RSBC in the development of bilateral cooperation.
