Russian Military Historical Society is a Russian voluntary self-governing public association founded in 2012 by the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Its activities are aimed at the study and popularization of military history of Russia, as well as the preservation of objects of military and historical cultural heritage.
The exhibition "Armed with Love. Artists at War" tells about actors, musicians, singers, dancers and reciters who were part of regular units of the Red Army, theatre and concert brigades during the Great Patriotic War.
The exposition "Women at War. 1941-1945" tells about the Soviet women at the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. For their courage and heroism, 90 women were awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, nine - the title Hero of Russia. About 2 thousand women were awarded the Order of Glory of three classes, four of them became full knights of the Order of Glory. Tens of thousands of women were awarded orders and medals for their military and labour exploits.
A historical interactive event, "Children of War. To Remember" is organized for children and teenagers provided by the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center. The main goal of the event is to shape patriotism and civic identity of children by introducing them to the military past of our country through personal experience of living the events of the war years.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Singapore Nikolay Rishatovich Kudashev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Singapore Arken Kenesbekovich Arystanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Singapore Kakhramon Shakirov, representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Singapore Alexander Soloviev attended the event.
The exhibition will be on display until the end of May and will be open to the public.
