On 20 November, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Russian Film Week was held in Singapore. It was viewed online by about 190,000 viewers from Russia, EEU and ASEAN countries. It was broadcast live on the “Odnoklassniki” social network.
The opening ceremony was held in Russian and English on a television bridge between Moscow and Singapore. The presenter became the well-known Russian actor, director and producer, the head of the Within the Family Nationwide program Alexander Kovtunets.
The opening ceremony was attended by leading Russian and foreign figures of cinematographic art, among them Andrey Smolyakov, Andrey Merslikin, Gosha Kutsenko, Fyodor Dobroravov, Olga Dozhdana, Alexey Pimanov, Sergey Mokritsky, Andrey Volgin, Oleg Vasilkov, Ilya Vasilyev, Nonna Grishayeva, Wolfgang Cherny, Oleg Asadulin, Sergei Godin and others. The guests described how the films were created and how they influenced public opinion and the fate of the actors and directors themselves.
The organizers of the event were the Russia-Singapore Business Council (RSBC), formed on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the Within the Family Nationwide program.
In Singapore, Opening and Film Ceremonies were screened at the Foreign Promotion Center of Russian High-Tech Companies and Presentation of Investment Projects.
